Summary: A few months after Elizabeth gives Daniel to Jack

"Daniel, I cant keep you." O'Neill told him.

"You're just saying that to get rid of me." Daniel said, eye to eye with his Nietzschean lover. "Why? Bored? I'm a vulnerability? A liability? A spy? You didn't have to take me! Elizabeth knew that. So, what are you? Weak for my sort?"

"For you." Jack muttered.

"Are you trying to protect me? Yourself? I'm your closest ally and I could die anywhere. We've started this thing, Jack. Separating won't necessarily save either of us!"

"I can't keep you because I love you." Jack told Daniel. "I set you free."

"Then I am here by choice, and if it means my death; I don't want to be saved."

Jack gripped Daniel's arms. "Neither do I..." He touched Daniel over his shoulders, down his arms, and held him in his arms, kissing him.
