Morning

Summary: Its a special anniversary and Jack and Daniel have some cosy moments in the morning before work

Mornings, God I hate mornings, was Daniel Jacksons first thought as he came into awareness, well that was not strictly true his first thought was Jack felt good lying him beside arms wrapped around Daniels slim waist. "Morning Space Monkey" Jack whispered into his ear which earned him a grunt and a wiggling Daniel as the younger man tryed to snuggle further into Jacks arms and go back to sleep.

"Come on Danny, wake up time, you want some coffee?" Jack consideratly asked his lover attempting to pull back and get out of bed, a futile attempt because as soon as he did Daniel rolled half on top of him, "no want you to stay there and let em go back to sleep" the archologist mumbled as he pushed himself as close to Jack as was humanly possible without ever opening his eyes.

"Danny we have a brief at 0900, I thought you wanted to finish that report for SG-5 before then" Jack said, he knew Daniel had been working hard on it all week and that it needed to be finished, for the sake of both SG-5 and Jack, when Daniel was working on his rocks Jack generally ended up with out sex for the duration, and a Jack that wasn't getting any was not a good Jack to have around.

"Don't need it for three more days, don't wanna wake up, I like this" Daniel yawned out finally opening his blue eyes and looking at Jack who was still attempting to free himself from Daniel's surprisingly strong grip. "Please Jack, we have an hour before we really need to get up, I just wanna stay here with you" Daniel begged, the kind of begging that came with puppy dog eyes that Jack could never resist.

"God you do that on purpose, you know I can't say no to that look", Jack groused a slight smile showing, "your lucky I like you so much or i'd have your ass for insubordination, or attempting to influance a senior officer" Jack joked good naturedly. Daniel smiled, "not in the air force Jack, can't court marshal me remember" Daniel said playing along, this was a game they'd played before, and it always made Daniel laugh, of course it also reminded them both why they had to hide how they felt from their friends, Teal'c and Sam knew of course although they'd never actually SAID they were together, so as far as 'don't ask, don't tell' they hadn't been asked, and they hadn't told.

Jack leaned down a little kissing Daniel gentley, "ok Danny you win we can stay in bed a while longer, but tonight you come home on time, I don't care if that report is finished or not, I plan on having you here all night so I can cook you some dinner, and ply you with wine before I have my wicked way with you" Jack said the laughter lines around his eyes crinkling as he spoke. "Yes Sir, Colonel Sir, you can have you wicked way with me anytime you want" Daniel laughed

The two lay comfortably in each others arms talking quietly, teasing, laughing, something that both agreed they couldn't do nearly as often as they'd like too, but as Jack said if it came to it he'd tell the air force where to stick it and retire again, he'd done it before he could do it again, something Daniel wasn't sure he liked the idea off, if Jack wasn't there to go through the gate with him, Daniel wasn't sure he'd want to go thought on his own, Sam and Teal'c would never let him down he knew, but Jack, well Jack was his life line, his anchor and if he wasn't there Daniel was afriad he might get lost out there somewhere.

"We really should get up you know" Jack said a short time later as he nibbled at Daniels ear whispering words of love, "uh huh" was Daniels only answer, and Jack looked up to see the other man was half way back to dreamland. "DANIEL" he half shouted, wacking the young linguist on the arm, "you little git, there was me telling you how much I love you and you were falling asleep. "Jaaaccck I heard everyword you said, I was just resting my eyes" Daniel said guiltly. "Yeah and I believe you thousands wouldn't" Jack snapped alittle.

Daniel didn't expect that, I mean sure he probalby shouldn't have been falling asleep while Jack was whispering sweet nothings in his ear but still, I mean it wasn't like it was the only time Jack had ever said he loved him, i mean sure he didn't say it whole lot and Daniel knew the reasons for that, I mean Jack had lost a lot of people he cared about, they both had, Shaur'e, Charlie...Charlie? Oh shit!!!

"Jack I'm sorry, I didn't mean to fall alseep, its just i've been trying to get this report done and I guess i'm just so tired, I'm sorry, I love you" Daniel said snuggling himself as close to Jack as he could bringing his head to rest against Jacks heart as he let his fingers trace idle patterens on Jacks mostly hard stomach. "Its Ok I know you've been working hard, I shouldn't have snapped", Jack said his own hand taking Daniel from his stomach and bringing it to his lips, "I just love you so dam much" he whispered.

Daniel lifted his head, he could see the tear running a path down Jacks face, hefting himself he flicked his tongue out licking away the salt water from his lovers face. "Its ok Jack, I know, I know" so many years and yet nothing would every really ease the pain of loesing a child, Daniel had some idea what it was like from loesing his parents but it wasn't quite the same. "You want to go up to the graveyard after we get home?" Daniel asked, Jack nodded, "Love you Danny" he said as he pulled Daniel close again.

Daniel knew he could never make all the pain go away, just like Jack knew he could never make all Daniels pain go away, but they had each other, and maybe the could share the pain and make it just alittle less painfull.

"Come on Jack, I'll make food, you make Coffee" Daniel said sitting up kissing Jack softly as he did, "How bout I make the food, you make the coffee" Jack said having tasted what Daniel liked to call breakfast on one occasion to many. Daniel but on a mock pout but smiled and nodded as they both got up to start the day, together, has a nice ring to it don't you think?
