The Patchwork Of Our Lives

Summary: The challenge was to compose a piece of artwork with a 'quilt' in mind and to relate it to a second anniversary. This is my art form.

On the day of our celebration,
I reflect upon the last two years
Of a life that's filled with passion,
Love and conflict and some tears.

I think of people and of things
That brought us both together
And consider what it is that
Holds us, like a tether.

The patchwork of our lives
And the people we have known
Like the many patterns of a quilt,
They become the whole when sewn.

Whether they are good or bad,
Subtle, bright or very bold,
Like some others or unique,
Together to warm when we are cold.
