Come In From The Rain

Summary: Sweet is the rain of April.

Jack could smell the rain before he heard it, the sweet scent of dry grass getting a welcome shower. Jack went over the window, threw it open and inhaled in guilty pleasure. Memories, old and new, flashed like a silent movie through his mind, and his heart and soul felt lighter.

He noticed the still, dripping man standing on the path.

Jack opened the door.

"What are you standing out there for?"

"I wasn't sure you'd want me to come in."

"Are you nuts? One fucked up mission isn't gonna stop me loving you. Come in from the rain, Daniel."
