How do I adore thee, Daniel? Let me count the ways.
My love is not measured in minutes, of hours or days,
but, in the tremble of my lips when they speak thy name,
or in the swell of my heart when I see your face.
The way my arms ache to hold your beloved frame.
The taste of you that lingers upon my tongue,
that has me yearning for more, like a parched man in the rain.

Knowing you'll be at my shoulder as we face the unknown,
the azure shimmer of the event horizon is put to shame,
in comparison to the blazing passion in your eyes.
You've made me a better man, striving to live up to your ideal,
to do nothing but good. I try, but I am merely mortal. Sometimes I fail.
You show me your 'Nike' expression, the one that says, 'just do it, Jack!'
and this airforce colonel complies, falling flat on my back.

You are not perfect, don't get me started.
For the sake of my health you could stop dying,
and the ascension merry-go-round is very trying
for my nerves, they can't take much more,
And, by the way, has anyone ever mentioned you snore.
You are my best friend and also my lover,
we will face what life offers us, together, until our days are over.

I think I must be a book, you read me so well,
No-one else understands the Jack beneath the hardass shell.
After Charlie, I felt dead inside, a scary, suicidal asshole who didn't give a damn!
You made me feel alive again, Tempt not a desperate man!
My face is what I want to see, reflected in blue staring back at me.
All of these reasons and some I can't express, make me love you more and more,
my own six foot Daniel Jackson Universe to try and explore.
