"I'm in love with you."

"What?" Daniel stared at Jack, unable to believe his ears.

"You heard me." Jack didn't want to waste any more time.

"You love me?"

"Yes."

Daniel pondered this, delving into his newly recovered memories. Feelings returned, ones of love and friendship, and he knew. "I think I'm in love with you too."

"You think?" Jack was hoping for more.

"I've only just returned, Jack, give me a break," Daniel said dryly.

"No breaks." Jack pulled Daniel in and kissed him passionately until they were both gasping for air. "Just us."

Daniel couldn't agree more.
