Summary: The future is speculated upon in the wake of Janet's death

"I wonder if Janet lived in the other future," Daniel wondered aloud.

"What other future?" Jack queried.

"The one we originally changed because of that note about the Ashen," Daniel turned over to face Jack, the covers on the bed bunching between them.

That gave Jack cause for worry. What if the events in 2069 had been changed because of that as well? Then he relaxed; Daniel was back with him, in his bed. "We'll never know."

"I miss her."

"Me too." Jack wound his arms around Daniel and just held him. It wasn't perfect but he could live with this future.
