After a comment in one feedback about not seeing Daniel as anything other than a linguist or archaeologist in most fics, I decided to write something where he wasn't either of them. I didn't mean to make Jack as mean as he is - that was just something that developed as the story went. There may be a sequel at a later date but I've got so many ideas for fics at the moment that it might be quite a while in coming.
